What do I need to sign-up for an account?
Are licenses included?
In most cases, commercial software licenses are not included. However if you already have a license you can also use it with Sabalcore. Contact us for more details.
I’ve never used a high performance computing in the cloud before. Is there support?
Yes. Our premium support sets us apart from other HPC service providers. Consider us a collaborator and extension of your organization. Will my application run with your service?
Almost any application can be adapted to run on on Sabalcore. We host numerous open-source and commercial applications. If we don’t have it, we can install it.
What do I need?
We provide everything you need to login, transfer files, and run jobs. We have hundreds of pre-installed applications that you can choose from. Or, if you have your own codes, you can build and install them in your account yourself or have us install them for you (included with the service).
I use Windows but your environment is Linux. I don’t know anything about Linux. Can I still use your service?
Yes, absolutely. We provide a graphical interface which provides a point-and-click environment that is very similar to MS Windows. At anytime you can schedule a “interactive support session” were we show you step-by-step instructions during a live interactive session.
Can I run a Windows application?
Maybe. Some Windows applications will run well under a Windows to Linux compatibility layer called WINE. Contact us to discuss your particular software and it’s compatibility.
Can other users see my files?
No. User data is kept isolated from other users. Another user can not see or access your data. Many security measures are in place to isolate users and to insure data and files remain isolated and protected.
Is my data backed-up?
Sabalcore makes a daily local back-up of user data. Any data that is deleted by the user, will be deleted automatically from all systems within 24 hours.
What about Security?
Sabalcore follows responsible security policies, standards, and guidelines and implements up-to-date technology to protect and control against unauthorized intrusions. Sabalcore’s “single origin” cloud means we own and maintain all equipment, data storage, and networks so you know exactly where your data is. Your data and identity are kept confidential.
